Description

CUPA enrolls students in the University of Paris system and certain Grandes Écoles and specialized institutes, and offers them a challenging program of study fashioned to meet individual interests and requirements, over a semester or a full academic year. Students may also take in-house courses. 

Two-Part Application Process

Applying to a Year or Term Abroad or a Non-Yale Summer Abroad study abroad program is a two-part process. These are separate application processes with individual deadlines and can be done simultaneously.

  1. You must apply to your intended program for admission by applying online from the program’s website. Select the Program Website button below to be directed to more information.
  2. You must apply to Yale Study Abroad for approval to study abroad and the ability to transfer the credit back to your Yale degree. The designated list of programs on our website does not constitute pre-approval or automatic approval from Yale. You must apply to our office by the relevant deadline in order to be approved. Language Requirement Note

Students at the L4 level may consider this program. Students at the L4 level can take courses in the FLE department of a local university, as well as in house CUPA courses in order to take a full courseload taught in French at the appropriate level. Please see the CUPA Academics and Advising webpage for more information. If you are hoping to fulfill L5 upon return, please be sure to check in with the French DUS to ensure the likelihood the courses you take will be appropriate to this goal.
