Congratulations, you'll be studying abroad soon! Use this section to review the requirements that you need to complete before you leave campus, as well as information that will help you get ready for your experience. In addition, you should be receiving program specific information directly from your program or university.

Pre-Departure Checklist

FAQ: 1. Submit All Required Pre-Departure Forms in Yale Compass by the Due Date

Log into your Yale Compass profile to complete your pre-departure forms. 

FAQ: 2. Attend a Required Pre-Departure Meeting

This meeting brings together students who have been approved to study abroad. We will go over important information to help you prepare for your time abroad. You will receive an email with details about your specific program's predeparture, including the date, time, and location.

FAQ: 3. Review Costs & Funding Options

Visit our Costs & Funding page to lean more about budgeting for your program. If you receive Yale financial aid and are eligible and plan to use the ISA, make sure to request it by the deadline.

If you will need disability-related accommodations during your program, we encourage you to visit our Student Accessibility Services page for resources and guidance.

Each program has its own guidebook that has been written specifically for your program. It contains program specific information.

Review a CAS-protected list of other Yalies who will be going abroad at the same time as you and want to connect. You can also reach out to Yalies who have already studied abroad to learn more about their experiences.
