Description

The CIEE Liberal Arts program in Santiago, Dominican Republic is designed for students with an interest in Caribbean area studies. The Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) is a private, nonprofit institution of higher education that has been ranked by the Inter-American Development Bank as the best academic institution of higher learning in the Dominican Republic. PUCMM offers the academic resources, support services, and physical facilities of a superior-level Latin American educational institution.

In order to study abroad for credit, you must complete two applications. You will need to both apply to your program for admission (via the program website) and apply to Yale for approval to receive credit.

CIEE Scholarship

As part of CIEE’s Academic Consortium, Yale’s study abroad office is able to nominate one student each semester to receive a $1000 scholarship to attend a CIEE semester program. Recipients of this scholarship will be required to organize one study abroad outreach event upon their return to campus. To learn more, review the application process and deadlines.
