Take on a busy and challenging semester mastering both the process of filmmaking and the medium of analog film itself (16mm or 35mm). Film Production students work in groups of three or four to see their short film through every stage—from pitching to filming, and even color grading in post-production—while working alongside professionals and under the guidance of experienced mentors at the Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). You leave Prague with a project for your portfolio, a better sense of the ins and outs of the film industry, and the confidence and skills to take on your next future creative endeavor.
Speak with your DUS ahead of time, especially if you'd like to use film production courses towards your major requirements.
