Description

Based in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath, Advanced Studies in England (ASE) offers semester and academic year study in the humanities, the arts, and political and social sciences. The Programme combines a friendly, informal, personal approach with the highest standards and expectations.

Program Highlights:

  • All teaching takes place in small seminar groups and tutorial-style classes, with many highly qualified British faculty from Oxford University.
  • Students housed in attractive properties in historic areas of the city centre, within walking distance of the Roman Baths, the Abbey, galleries, museums, and an array of cafes, restaurants and pubs.
  • An exciting and carefully structured social and cultural programme encourages students to learn about, and immerse themselves more fully in the life of the city.
  • A team of Bath-based student helpers organizes weekly events and helps facilitate links with local volunteering agencies, clubs, sports teams and societies.
  • A rich array of curricular and co-curricular visits within the UK and organised day trips to remote, beautiful parts of England and Wales.
