Direct Enrollment
The University of St. Andrews, founded in 1413, is Scotland's first University and the third oldest in the UK. It's also one of the top universities in the UK. Due to its smaller size, approximately 8,000 undergraduates, students enjoy the benefits of studying at a highly residential university where academic and social lives intermingle. With a reputation for world-class teaching, your academic studies will be both rigorous and rewarding. You will have the opportunity to embrace new perspectives and challenge your own ideas while exploring a wide range of subjects. Located in a coastal town which boasts two beautiful long beaches where the medieval meets the cosmopolitan, St Andrews provides a truly diverse and vibrant student community with a global outlook. St Andrews is a perfect location for students wanting to study abroad in an intimate environment.
Students must stay for all end of term/year exams.
You can choose to either apply directly through the university for admission, or apply through one of the following study abroad providers: Arcadia Global Studies or IFSA.
Applying through a study abroad provider still allows you to directly enroll at the university, but with an additional level of services and support. Because of these additional services, it often costs more to study abroad through a provider than to apply directly through the university. We encourage you to research both options before making a decision. If you have any questions, contact a study abroad adviser.
Two-Part Application Process

- You must apply to your intended program for admission by applying online from the program’s website. Select the Program Website button below to be directed to more information.
