For over 20 years, Tisch London has maintained an exclusive collaboration with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), offering actors a rigorous, full-time semester to channel the expressiveness and depth of Shakespeare’s work. The Shakespeare in Performance course at RADA is a practical training where Elizabethan and Jacobean texts are explored through both historical and contemporary lenses. In theory and practice we explore the historical context of the Shakespearean world and how these texts can find meaning today.
In addition to your RADA training, you will spend two days a week taking classes at NYU London. Housing is mere moments from campus, and London’s incredible culture is at your fingertips.
If you are a Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies major, and you are interested in using courses that you take while studying abroad towards your major, you should talk to the DUS ahead of time.
