Description

Considered the cultural capital of Japan, Kyoto is world-renowned for its historical sites and rich experiences. You will immerse yourself in downtown Kyoto where you will be nearby historic landmarks and get the experience you need to launch an international career in the creative industries. When class is in session, you will learn from instructors at CIEE Kyoto in courses across a wide range of subject areas, such as art, history, and Japanese culture. With instructors or on your own, you will have ample opportunities to explore the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the city's rich food scene, and visit the Manga Museum, right next to CIEE Kyoto!

To further your engagement in Kyoto (also great to improve your Japanese language skills), CIEE offers opportunities to volunteer in the community. CIEE also organizes several excursions in and around Kyoto. Students can enroll in block 1, block 2, or both blocks. If enrolling in only block 1 or block 2, please select the "1 Session" option on Compass. If enrolling in both blocks, please select the "2 Sessions" option on Compass.
