SIT Jordan: Geopolitics, International Relations, and the Future of the Middle East

Description

On this program, you will learn about the Middle East’s politics, shifting power configurations, and efforts to promote peace and global security from Jordan, a peace broker in the region. You will examine how geography shapes politics, shifts power, and impacts international relations in the Middle East. You will also consider the impact of Palestinian, Iraqi, and Syrian immigrants and refugees, who now make up more than two thirds of the nation’s population. You will learn or greatly advance your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Modern Standard Arabic.

Two-Part Application Process

Applying to a Year or Term Abroad or a Non-Yale Summer Abroad study abroad program is a two-part process. These are separate application processes with individual deadlines and can be done simultaneously.
