Description

The CIEE Arts and Sciences study abroad program in Legon, Ghana is designed for a wide variety of students, including those interested in studying the political and economic challenges facing sub-Saharan Africa and developing nations, and those interested in studying West African cultural practices in various musical and dance forms.

Two-Part Application Process

Applying to a Year or Term Abroad or a Non-Yale Summer Abroad study abroad program is a two-part process. These are separate application processes with individual deadlines and can be done simultaneously.

  2. You must apply to Yale Study Abroad for approval to study abroad and the ability to transfer the credit back to your Yale degree. The designated list of programs on our website does not constitute pre-approval or automatic approval from Yale. You must apply to our office by the relevant deadline in order to be approved. Note About Arizona State University Courses

CIEE offers the option to enroll in online Arizona State University (ASU) courses in many program locations. Students who are approved by Yale Study Abroad to participate in a CIEE program are not permitted to enroll in online ASU courses. Yale does not award credit or funding for online courses taken abroad.
