CIEE in Barcelona: Advanced Liberal Arts

Description

The Advanced Liberal Arts program in Barcelona is designed for independent-minded students with advanced language skills interested in enrolling in regular Spanish university classes in a diverse range of subjects. Students take an intensive Spanish language course designed to prepare them for classes at the Universitat de Barcelona at the beginning of the program. UB classes are taught in the Spanish academic tradition which involves more independent work on the part of the student.

Two-Part Application Process

Applying to a Year or Term Abroad or a Non-Yale Summer Abroad study abroad program is a two-part process. These are separate application processes with individual deadlines and can be done simultaneously.

1. You must apply to your intended program for admission by applying online from the program’s website. Select the Program Website button below to be directed to more information.
2. You must apply to Yale Study Abroad for approval to study abroad and the ability to transfer the credit back to your Yale degree. The designated list of programs on our website does not constitute pre-approval or automatic approval from Yale. You must apply to our office by the relevant deadline in order to be approved. Note About Arizona State University Courses

CIEE offers the option to enroll in online Arizona State University (ASU) courses in many program locations. Students who are approved by Yale Study Abroad to participate in a CIEE program are not permitted to enroll in online ASU courses. Yale does not award credit or funding for online courses taken abroad.
