Program Report Requirements

Program reports provide the opportunity for you to reflect on your experience abroad. These reports are helpful to prospective study abroad students and they are invaluable to us in advising students and reassessing our approved program list. All Program Reports are read by the Study Abroad staff and, with your permission, made available to Yale students. If you would like to meet with a Study Abroad Adviser to discuss your experience abroad, please use our online system to schedule an appointment.

Confidential Reports and/or Reports for Petitioned Programs not on Yale's Designated List: If you wish to keep your report confidential, or if you successfully petitioned for a new program, please email your program report directly to

International Summer Award (ISA): If you used an ISA to help fund your study abroad program, you do not need to write up two separate reports. However, you must upload your ISA report in two places.  First, upload to it your ISA application in your MyCIPE account and, second, upload it the CIPE Program Report Database (directions below).

Light Fellows: You do not need to complete a study abroad program report because you will fulfill this requirement by blogging or submitting a program report to the Light Fellowship Office.
