Kelly McLaughlin

Director, Study Abroad; Deputy Director of the Center for International and Professional Experience; Assistant Dean for Assessment

As Director of Study Abroad and Assistant Dean for Assessment, Kelly focuses on promoting and documenting students' experiential learning outcomes through study abroad. He also coordinates Yale College’s portion of reaccreditation reports to the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Kelly joined Yale’s Fellowship Programs in 2002 after working in South Korea's Higher Education sector, which culminated in a stint with the Fulbright Commission in Seoul. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from UCLA in English Literature and still considers sunny Southern California his home base.

Allie Agati

Associate Director, Study Abroad

Allie joined the study abroad office at Yale in 2017. Prior to Yale, Allie held positions as Manager of Curricular Programs in the Brown University Office of the Dean of the College, Assistant Dean of International Studies and Study Abroad Advisor at Providence College, and Study Abroad Coordinator at Northeastern University. Allie received her M.A. in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University and her B.A. in English Literature from Providence College. As an undergraduate, she spent a semester studying in Sydney, Australia.

Susan Evans

Associate Director, Study Abroad

Susan has worked in the study abroad office at Yale since 2006. She has held the positions of Study Abroad Adviser, Assistant Director and, most recently, Associate Director of Study Abroad. Susan received her M.A. in International Education through the SIT Graduate Institute and her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. As an undergraduate, Susan spent a semester abroad in both Indonesia and Independent Samoa.

Kathy Trputec

Associate Director, Summer Session & Study Abroad

Kathy has worked for Yale Summer Session since 2007. She advises students on the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU) Global Summer Program and term time and summer programs in the UK. She provides guidance and support to students before, during and after the application process. Kathy received her M.S. in Counseling with a focus in Student Development in Higher Education from Central Connecticut State University. As an undergraduate, she spent a year abroad in Granada, Spain.

Megan Carney

Program Coordinator, Summer Session Programs Abroad

Megan Carney is the Sr. Administrative Assistant for the Study Abroad office. She works closely with the Director to manage logistics related to Yale Summer Session Programs Abroad. Before coming to Yale, Megan served two years as a member of the director's staff on a cruise ship. As an undergraduate she studied abroad for a semester in Australia at the University of Wollongong; Megan received a master's from Central Connecticut State University.

Ruth Clifford

Senior Administrative Assistant, Study Abroad & Fellowships

Ruth works closely with advisers to facilitate study abroad through our Designated (non-Yale) programs. She graduated from Albertus Magnus College with an M.S. in Human Services and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Trinity College, Ireland. She brings to Yale almost 20 years of educational, managerial, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Originally from Kilkenny, Ireland, a love of travel brought her to New Haven more than ten years ago and she now considers Connecticut her home.
